President and founder of DKI Consulting, Darren Crowell established DKI on the principle of providing experienced consulting while conducting business in an ethical manner. Since the company's inception, Darren has been successful in growing and navigating the company into a premier enterprise consulting organization. Prior to DKI, Darren managed and supported engineering, manufacturing and supply chain management groups for multiple international energy companies. During this time, Darren focused on innovation through emerging technologies. Many of those years were spent restructuring existing environments to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization through the optimization of existing capabilities with innovative solutions. This background led Darren to create DKI and consequently to the strategic partnerships and staffing of multiple highly skilled personnel.
Ms. McCaslin brings almost 20 years of Information Services experience in both state and federal government as well as commercial. Carrie joined DKI in July 2008 as Vice President of Operations and is responsible for managing all aspects of providing information technology services. Prior to DKI, Carrie has held key positions in the government including: Chief Information Officer for NASA's Exploration Systems Mission Directorate, Chief Engineer for NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Information Resources, Chief Architect for Veteran Affairs Office of Information Technology, and Information Technology Manager for the University of Texas Medical Branch. Additionally, Carrie played a key role as Program Director at Dell Inc. supporting their global supply chain initiatives.
In these roles Carrie has provided leadership and vision creating an enhanced value to the customer by establishing best practices and developing optimal solutions based on requirements, existing architecture and infrastructure. She has led technical organizations in developing enterprise solutions, for distributed organizations, including: complex engineering environments, medical record systems, services oriented architectures, and integration of large scale applications ensuring the design is scalable and secure. She has collaborated across organizations to establish a common vision and strategy for implementing information technology solutions that support business goals and objectives.
Carrie holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Vice President of DKI Consulting Business Development, Todd Floyd has more than 15 years of experience within the information technology arena. Since joining DKI in 2005, Todd’s leadership and vision has been instrumental in the overall success of the company to date. During this time Todd has assisted in DKI's maturity through building operational processes as well as managing its services teams to their respective customers. Additionally, Todd has established and fostered many relationships within DKI's customer and partner base including NASA and Veterans Affairs. Currently, as Vice President of Business Development, Todd is responsible for establishing new relationships and leveraging existing ones to further expand new opportunities aligned with DKI's core competencies.
Prior to joining DKI, Todd worked within IT supporting a variety of industries including oil and gas, financial, and energy. His work consisted of managing large and small development teams, product development, ERP implementations, web development, client server, database administration and project management of effort similar to those.
Todd has a bachelor's degree with a double major in computer information systems and business management from Stephen F. Austin State University.
